The Dee String Quartet

The Dee String Quartet of Aberdeen comprises:

• Two violinists
• One viola player
• One cellist

The quartet plays in castles, churches, hotels, art galleries and concert halls, even outdoors - weather permitting - throughout the North East of Scotland (further afield by special arangement).

Founded in 1995, the quartet regularly plays at weddings (ceremonies, receptions and meals) as well as corporate dinners, exhibition openings, anniversary events, and in fact any special occasion.

Private concerts, funerals and memorial events can also be considered.

The quartet has built its fine reputation by performing a varied repertoire of music to a high professional standard, with enthusiasm and passion. The repertoire includes well-known classics, as well as show, opera, pop, light jazz and folk arrangements. Programmes can be tailored to your own particular requirements.

The quartet's live music will help create a very special atmosphere and bring class and elegance to your event. Dirk and Shelagh (violins), Julian (viola) and Hilary (cello) collectively have great experience in the music profession in Scotland as well as internationally.
